City planning to charge for use of fire department

Jamestown police arrest three on gun theft charges
In Feb. 21-27 issue JAMESTOWN - Three Russell Springs residents have been arrested in Jamestown, all as a result of a burglary investigation at the home of Randy Lawless reported to the department on Jan. 29, according to Sgt. Jeff Kerns, the Jamestown Police Department's news media director.
Officials say beef at school is safe – not part of recall
In Feb. 21-27 issue JAMESTOWN - There no beef from the plant that has had a national recall at any of the Russell County Schools, according to school officials. "To my knowledge we didn't get any of that here," said Superintendent Scott Pierce.
STAR THEATER: Footloose the Musical a hit, all-star cast to offer additional show
Feb. 19, 2008 This past weekend saw sellout crowds at The Star Theater production of Footloose in Russell Springs. All of the performance sold out, with Saturday's show selling out 5 hours before the show was to open. Due to the extraordinarily large crowd size, a special performance has been scheduled for Friday, February 22nd. The show will begin at 7 p.m. Advance tickets will be available at Grider's Drug, across from the theater, for $8. Remaining tickets will be on sale one hour before show at the Box Office for $10.
