WOLF CREEK NATIONAL FISH HATCHERY: 22nd Annual Catch a Rainbow Kids Fishing Derby
What began as a small event in 1986 has now blossomed into one of the largest events of it’s kind in the entire country, and as in past years, volunteers and staff are excitedly gearing up for the annual Catch a Rainbow Kids Fishing Derby. This year’s event is scheduled for Sat, June 7th, 2008, and as in past years, the location will be at Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery.
THE WAY I SEE IT: Thinking about mother, belatedly
In May 17 issue, Russell County News By Barbara Sharp Zimmerman, Columnist I didn’t write about Mothers last week, when the topic certainly would have been appropriate. I’m not sure why, except that 17 years after my Mother’s death, I still miss her tremendously and just thinking about her often makes me very sad.
We are suffering from sticker price shock this week. We believe it finally hit us when we saw the gas prices at the $4 mark this week. And it is not even the holiday weekend yet.
CRUISIN': Things getting busy as summer approaches

On Thursday May 1st The Outsiders had their first Cruise In. The club was just newly formed in the fall of 2007 but is well on their way.
