Lady Lakers, Lakers defeat visiting Clinton Co.
ONLINE UPDATE-Feb. 5
Coach Craig Pippen's Lady Lakers ended a five-game losing streak Thursday night in Laker Gym, defeating district rival Clinton County 49-41.
In the night's second game, Russell County's boys defeated the visiting Bulldogs 49-46 in a tough district matchup. Coach Willie Feldhaus' team rebounded from a drubbing at Casey County earlier this week.

Casey County outlasts Lakers in Liberty
ONLINE UPDATE-Jan. 3 Coach Willie Feldhaus' Lakers were defeated Tuesday night by the Rebels of Casey County in a heated, high intensity game, 63-43, in Liberty. The Lakers were led in scoring by senior Bryon Ellis with 17 points. The loss gives Russell County its second loss in the last three games and gives them a 17-3 record on the year.

ONLINE UPDATE-Feb. 2
The Russell County Lady Lakers fell to the host Lady Rebels of Casey County on Monday night in Liberty, 66-34.
Russell County is now 11-7 on the season and currently has a five-game losing streak. LeeAnn Grider was the lone Lady Laker in double figures with 10 points.
