WOLF CREEK NATIONAL FISH HATCHERY: Kentucky Questing Workshop a Success at
Always seeking out new ways to help visitors explore and learn more about the site, Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery served as organizer and host for a Kentucky Questing Workshop on February 24th and 25th, 2009. The event, a first of its kind for Kentucky, featured nationally known Quest designer and author Steven Glazer.

WOLF CREEK NATIONAL FISH HATCHERY: Amanda Patrick Graduates from Pilot Certification Program for Nonformal Environmental Educators
After a year of work, including weekend workshop attendance, studying environmental literacy, learning debate protocol, exams and more, Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery Environmental Education/Outreach Specialist Amanda Patrick became a graduate of the 2008 Certification Program for Kentucky Nonformal Educators. Patrick was awarded her credentials as a Certified Environmental Educator (CEE) on Wednesday, March 4th, 2009 at a ceremony held in Lexington, Kentucky.

Lakers lose in district title game, 57-41
ONLINE UPDATE-Feb. 27
The Russell County Lakers were defeated Friday night in the 16th district championship game by the host Cumberland County Panthers, 57-41.
The runner-up Lakers will still move on to the 4th region basketball tournament this week at Western Kentucky University's E.A. Diddle Arena and will face arguably the 4th region's best team in Warren Central on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
