A new men’s church basketball league has been formed for Monday and Tuesday nights from February 18-April 1, according to Jason “Bucky” Walters, coordinator of the league.
This is a basketball league for all men ages 16 and older. All churches must be signed up by February 8 during normal business hours at the Jamestown Christian Church.
The league is open to all churches in the area, Walters said. Churches need to contact him for more information on the league or to sign up. The cost is $150 a team and the money covers the league’s referees, he said.
Games will begin Monday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. and at 8 p.m.
On Tuesday, Feb. 19, games will also be played at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Each team will play once a week at one of those two times through April 1.
Each team will be given a copy of the rules when they sign up and all teams are expected to abide by them.
