RUSSELL SPRINGS - A traffic stop lead to a search warrant which police say yielded numerous bottles of alcohol and cases of beer very early Monday morning.
Police Chief Joseph Irvin said Officer Reggie Gosser found a bottle of alcohol in a car while performing a traffic stop.
He explained that after further investigation that officer along with Officer Chasity Shirley and himself conducted a search of a house on Geneva Drive where Clinton Asberry, 49, and Shaun Asberry, 27 were taken into custody for allegedly selling alcoholic beverages in a dry territory.
Taken into evidence, Irvin said, were eleven bottles of vodka, nine bottles of whiskey, six bottles of rum, twelve bottles of tequila, 284 cans of beer along with other prohibited beverages.
Both men who were arrested, were reportedly father and son and have posted $1,000 cash bond each on Monday to be released from the Russell County Jail.
