David L. Endicott, 32, of Edmonton was arrested Feb. 1 and
held for allegedly murdering John Auburn Smith, 46, of Metcalfe County.
According to a release by the Kentucky State Police, Endicott
was arrested based upon eye witness information obtained during this
investigation and was held in the Barren County Jail.
This case is being investigated by KSP Det. B.J. Burton, KSP
Det. Kevin Hunt and KSP Sgt. Bobby Sullivan who are reportedly waiting for
results from laboratory testing, and the KSP reports that additional arrest may
be made, after further investigation.
On January 29, around 7:17 p.m., the Kentucky State Police
in Columbia report they were notified about a shooting at 33 Pleasant Ridge
Cemetery Road, Edmonton
EMS units responded to the scene and transported the victim
to Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, where he was pronounced dead by the
Adair County Coroner Rick Wilson.
According to reports at the time another individual at the
scene was transported to Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg for
treatment.
