The Lady Lakers (9-13) played host to the Lady Rebels of
Casey County (19-1) on Monday night with the Lady Lakers being beaten by 31,
61-30.
The Lady Rebels have been outstanding this season and proved
to be one of the better teams on Russell
County’s schedule this season.
After scoring 13 first quarter points, Russell
County was held in single digits
the final three frames scoring three, eight and six points, respectively.
Casey County
led 28-16 at halftime before going on a 33-14 run in the second half to take
the victory.
Kim Pierce led the Lady Lakers in scoring with eight points
while Michelle Copley, Ashly Franklin and Lindsay Ramage had five points each.
LeeAnn Grider had three points in the loss.
The Lady Lakers host district foe Metcalfe
County on Friday night in a
boy-girl doubleheader, beginning at 6 p.m.
