Tuesday, Richard Collins and Ottis Foster entered Alford pleas in Russell Circuit Court to the crime of complicity to facilitate murder.
An Alford plea is when the person charged admits there is enough evidence to convict them, but they admit no guilt in the crime.
Richard Smith, who had entered a plea of guilty to murder charges on Jan. 15, was sentenced to twenty-years in the penitentiary. He was given credit for time already served and will be eligible for parole after serving 85 percent of his sentence.
The two men who entered pleas this week did so with a sentencing recommendation from the prosecution of five-years probation for each.
The then 28-year-old Oaks was shot in the abdomen at a mobile home in the Jabez community.
