16th District games, times set for Lady Lakers, Lakers at RCHS

In Feb. 21-27 Issue
The 2008 boys and girls 16^th district basketball tournaments will take place at Laker Gym at the Russell County High School on Monday, Feb. 25 through Friday, Feb. 29.

In the boy’s tournament, #1 seed Metcalfe County will take on #4 seed Clinton County at 7:45 p.m. on Feb. 25 while #2 seed Russell County will take on #3 seed Cumberland County at 7:45 p.m. on Feb. 26.

The winners of both games will then play at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 29 in the 16^th district title game.

In the girl’s tournament, #1 seed Cumberland County will play #4 seed Clinton County at 6 p.m. on Feb. 25 while #2 seed Russell County will play #3 seed Metcalfe County at 6 p.m. on Feb. 26.

The winners of both games will play at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28 in the 16^th district title game.

Admission is $4 in advance and may be purchased at the Russell County High School Office or $5 at the gate. Reserved seating may also be purchased for $10 each night of the tournament.
