Shoot the redbuds while they're "in the pink"

TOUR Southern and Eastern Kentucky in partnership with the America’s Byways Program is sponsoring an amateur photography contest. Redbuds and their lush pink blooms make April one of the best times to experience the natural beauty of Kentucky. April is officially Redbud Month in southern and eastern Kentucky. This region is home to more redbuds than anywhere else in the country.

The goal of this contest is to get citizens and students out in the beautiful scenery of the springtime.  Awards will be given to the top entries. Additional photographs will also be chosen to be utilized in a Redbud Public Awareness Campaign for 2008-09 promoting the Redbud Trails Program in the region.

If you would like to participate in the photography contest, please contact Jeff Crowe, Director of Program Development at 606-677-6095 or jcrowe@tourseky.com for Rules and Entry Forms.
