Lady Laker Softball week recap

April 24-30 Issue

In softball action this week the Lady Lakers hit a rough spot, going 2-4 the past week but defeated Lincoln County on Tuesday to get back on track.

Lady Laker pitcher Kyla Thomas got the victory in the 5-2 win.

Lacy Holt had another superb game, hitting a homerun and driving in two runs.

In the Lady Laker JV game, Abbie Tarter picked up the win on the mound as the Lady Lakers won.

Tarter, who has been battling a knee injury she sustained several weeks ago while playing, showed her toughness and heart as she was able to get the victory.

In middle school softball, the young Lady Lakers outlasted Meece Middle School from Somerset in two game, 13-8 and 13-4.

The varsity Lady Lakers travel to Adair County on Thursday before hosting Green County on Friday.

Good luck to Coaches Trent Tarter and Barry Bolin as they march toward the final stretch of the season with their respective teams.

Varsity game times are 5 p.m.
