The middle school track team competed last Monday at the Green County Invitational.
RCMS standout runner Ally Harris battled through sickness and won the 800m. run with a time of 2:37.
This time will place her in the top 30 in the middle school national rankings when they are updated, according to Coach Misty Matney.
Sixth grader, Trevor Robertson, won the 800. run (2:28) and the 1600m. run (5:21). With Trevor’s mile time he will be ranked in the top 25 in the middle school rankings when updated, Matney said.
“Harris is an excellent athlete and is hard to beat in the middle school level, as well as an excellent contender against high school runners,” Matney said.
“As she gets stronger she will be hard to compete with regardless of what level she is competing with.”
Robertson is continuing to get better with each race.
Like Harris, Trevor runs varsity against high school as well in the middle school, which only makes him a better runner, Matney said..
