Over the past week, the Lakers have found themselves on both sides of the win-loss column.Last week, Casey County came to Laker Field only to be beaten handidly by the Lakers, 8-0. Derek Popplewell had 10 strikeouts to get the complete game victory.
The Lakers would then go on to lose to Greenwood, 4-0, before beating Crittenden County, 7-0. David Wooldridge struck out six in the complete game victory.
Josh Popplewell went 3-4 with with three RBI.
The Lakers then went on to lose two heartbreaking games to Taylor County and Barren County, 2-1 and 3-1, respectively.

The Lady Lakers went 0-3 over the past week, losing away games to Taylor, Wayne and Lincoln counties.
In the JV game, Taylor Irvin got the win as the Lady Lakers won the 9-8 over Taylor County.
