After 16 seasons as an assistant with the Russell County Laker baseball program, Charlie Anderson officially resigned from his position on Sunday.
Anderson, who coached under Terry Wade, Kenny Pickett and David Rexroat expressed his gratitude toward the program at Sunday’s baseball banquet.
“I love baseball and I love the players and I’ve loved coaching them,” Anderson said.
Anderson said he was going to spend more time with his wife, Stacy, and his children.
Anderson remains an assistant coach for the Laker football team.
