JAMESTOWN - A head-on collision Monday afternoon east of Jamestown sent three people to UK Medical Center via Air-Evac helicopter with serious injuries. Two otheres were treated at the Russell County Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The collision occurred around 12:13 p.m. on Ky. 619 near the intersection of Ky. 1680 when a 2003 Honda Civic being driven by Alisha Bolin, 24, of Jamestown, was traveling west on Ky. 619.
According to reports, her vehicle crossed the center line and hit head-on with a 2007 Ford pickup being driven by Arthur Fillippinie, 55, also of Jamestown, according to Deputy Sheriff Clete McAninch.
McAnich said Fillippinie, Bolin and her 3-year-old son, London, were flown Russell County Hospital to Lexington for treatment.
Two passengers in Fillippinie's vehicle, Tammy Fillippinie, 42, of Jamestown and Ronnie Crouch, 10, of Fairland, Ind., were treated for their injuries at Russell County Hospital and then released.
Responding to the accident was the Jamestown Police Department, the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department, Deputy McAnich with the Sheriff's Department and the Russell County EMS.
