While there’s probably not a lot of use for it, the web site for the Russell County News and the Times Journal is available in in multitude of languages.
This means you can send a link to your friends in Moscow, Tokyo, Bagdad or Mexico City and they read it in their native language.
The feature is offered through an online service provided by the Internet search giant Google.
At the bottom of every page on our web site, which is located at http://russellcounty.net, there is a language selector with a current choice of 23 international languages ranging from Spanish to Russian, from Arabic to Chinese, from German to French, and many more.
Some people who have discovered the feature have noted that it’s “fun” to try looking at the articles in different languages. It also seems possible that the translations may help in learning some languages, though the translations, which are done by computer software, are often not exactly accurate in the foreign language.
However, if a native speaker tries to read a page, they can at least understand the article.
