ONLINE UPDATE, June 27
JAMESTOWN - The Russell County Grand Jury returned indictments against 12 individuals this month ranging from rape and sodomy to drug trafficking, according to Russell Circuit Court.
Brian Keith Helm, 27, was charged with five counts of burglary, five counts of theft by unlawful taking over $300, one count each of theft by unlawful taking under $300 and criminal mischief 1st Degree.
Both Michael R. Saunders, 45, and Madonna Saunders, 42, were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and receiving stolen property.
Glenn F. Blair, 45, was charged with the cultivation of Marijuana, trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana.
Lewis D. Wheat, 34, was charged with 2nd degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
Lisa J. Jones, 33, was charged with theft by unlawful taking over $300.
Nicholas D. Kinnett, 29, was charged with theft of identity.
Patrick Adamson, 24, was charged with 2nd degree trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of controlled substances not in proper container.
Gregory D. Williams, 22, was charged with 3rd degree rape and 3rd degree sodomy.
Mitchell B. Ballenger, 21, was charged with 4th offense DUI, 1st degree promoting contraband, driving on a DUI suspended license, possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Coy A. Marcum, 31, was charged with flagrant non-support of a child and with being a persistent felony offender in the 2nd degree.
Jesse Bernard, 49, was charged with flagrant non-support of a child and with being a persistent felony offender in the 2nd degree.
An indictment by a grand jury does not imply guilt but simply means that a jury felt there was enough evidence in a case to warrant a trial.
