In August 7-13 IssueOn July 22, the Russell Rays swim team hosted a swim-a-thon to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The event was held at the Joseph Smith Hayes Memorial Pool in Russell Springs.
Each swimmer set a number of laps they would swim in one hour and collected donations from family and friends.
Together the Rays raised $922 while building strength and endurance in the water.
Participants in this event were: Katie Glover, Channing Cooper, Wyatt Slone, Evan Bray, Haven Railsback, Kim True, Victoria Rogers, Dylan Coffey, Ryan Coffey, Michael Little, Daniel White, Erin Wolford, Casey Glover, Ben Sapp, Sarah Overly, Ciara Kimes and Jordan Loy.
The Rays wish to thank all the participants, those who made donations and the city of Russell Springs for letting them use the pool for this very important event.
