Lakewood Marlins finish swim season

The Lakewood Country Club Marlin Swim team has finished their 2008 season.

This year the Marlin's participated in the Southern Kentucky Swim Conference with Crooked Creek Country Club, London; Cedar Rapids Country Club, Mt. Vernon; and Sweet Hollow Country Club, Corbin.

The Marlin's went undefeated during the regular season meets with each team, placed second in the Summer Swim Relay Bash hosted by Crooked Creek Country Club and brought home the first place trophy at the end of season conference on July 27.

The top finishers at conference were as follows: Henry Bertram 7-8 boy, Madison Shaw 7-8 girl, Tyler Shaw 9-10 boy, Benjamin Bertram 11-12 boy, Hillary Hamm 13-14 girl, Chase Carnes 17-18 boy and Shelby Hockensmith 17-18 girl.

This year's team was coached by Valarie Cooper and Zach Grider.
