Lady Lakers continue strong play

In Sept. 18-24 Issue

The Lady Laker Golf Team was in action on Tuesday evening at Eagle's Nest Country Club. The Lady Lakers came up short being defeated by Somerset and Pulaski County.

The Lady Lakers shot a 180, the Lady Jumpers of Somerset shot a 177, and the Lady Maroons of Pulaski County shot a 175.

Scoring for the Lady Lakers:

April Emerson: 38, Lauren Haynes: 44, Brianne Coe: 45, Danielle Murray: 53, Peyton Walters: 55.

The Lady Laker JV Golf Team was in action on Monday at Hickory Hills Country Club in Casey County taking on the Lady Rebels.

The Lady Lakers shot a team score of 237 to the Lady Rebels 229 being defeated by only 8 strokes.

Scoring for the Lady Lakers: Caitlyn Kerr-53,Lindsay Haynes-61, Ryan Hoover-59, Lesley Roy-64 and Kenna Richardson-64.

Also last Thursday, the Lady Lakers JV team played host to Lincoln County at the Lakewood Country Club.

Lincoln County won the match by shooting 207 against Russell County's 224.

The Lady Laker Golf Team also finsihed 6th out of 18 teams in the Bowling Green Country Club on Saturday in the Bowling Green Purples Invitational.

Lady Laker April Emerson finished in 5th place out of 105.
