The RCMS Lakers throttled visiting Adair County on Tuesday afternoon, beating the young Indians 50-6 to move to 9-0 on the season.
Just last week the middle school Lakers traveled to Hart County and came away with another huge victory, 44-8.
The team, which is comprised of 8th grades and several 7th grades have beaten their opponents by double digits all season, often in embarrassing fashion.
Quarterback Barton Mann and his backs and receivers have had good protection from their big offensive line all year.
Nick Britt, Lucas Whittle, Evan Fletcher, Travis Frank, Jalen Bennett and others have found success with the offensive unit.
Coach Barry Bolin’s defense has been equally impressive, many time yielding just one or two scores a game.
Opponents often look overmatched and overwhelmed when the RCMS Lakers take the field.
Their impressive size, speed and athleticism have proven to be key in their nine victories, so far, this season.
The Lakers next play host to Campbellsville on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 5 p.m. at Laker Field.
Looking to go 10-0, the RCMS Lakers will then enter the playoffs on October 1, hopefully with an undefeated record and an easier road toward the championship bowl game.
