RCMS destroys Hart Co., 42-8, move on to CKMSAC title game

In Oct. 16-22 Issue

The Russell County Middle School Lakers overpowered visiting Hart County 42-8 on Tuesday.

The Lakers victory came in the opening round of the Central Kentucky Middle School Athletic Conference Tournament.

Coach Barry Bolin’s Lakers jumped out to an early lead on the young Hart County team and never looked back.

Within the first few minutes of play the Lakers already had accumulated a 22-0 lead.

Bolin’s teamremains undefeated at 11-0 on the season, many times making their opponents look severely undermatched.

The middle school Lakers will now play in the championship game this coming Saturday at noon at Laker Field.

As of presstime, their opponent for the game has yet to be announced.

Congratulations to Coaches Bolin, Taylor, Hammond, Morrison, Taylor and Walters.
