Laker freshman, JV teams in action

In Dec. 4 Issue

The Laker freshman basketball team traveled to Somerset Monday night and defeated the Briar Jumpers, 40-32.

Scoring for the Lakers was Hunter Best with 15 points, Blake Aaron with 14 points, Tyler Robertson with eight points, Brandon Bunch with two points and C.J. Bray with one point.

On Tuesday, the junior varsity Lakers fell to Lincoln County by two points, 34-32.

Scoring for the Lakers was Kyle Burchett with eight points, Martin Cross with seven points, Hunter Best and Tyler Robertson with four points each, Blake Aaron with three points and Jordan Best, Taylor Hutchison and Logan Smith with two points a piece.

The freshman and JV teams will be in action at home Tuesday against the Casey County Rebels with the freshman tipping off at 4:30 p.m. and the JV following that game.

Those games are a prelude to the varsity matchup against the Rebels Thursday at 7 p.m.
