For years the Department of Revenue (DOR) shipped the forms out, but they say this was a costly endeavor. This year the state is saving approximately $230,000 by having the taxpayers print their own forms.
All tax forms may be found, downloaded and printed very easily from the DOR Web site, revenue.ky.gov
Taxpayers without computer access may have forms mailed by calling the DOR at (502) 564-3658.
In addition, the department is mailing packets to those taxpayers who used their address label this past filing season and is continuing to mail the non-resident packets as well.
They added that there are 10 Taxpayer Service Centers across the state that assist taxpayers with any questions and can print or provide tax forms. The locations of those centers may be found on the revenue.ky.gov Web site.
One final note. It is very important whether electronically filing, or by mail, to make sure all directions are followed, all pertinent materials are enclosed, and that the forms are signed. This will ensure your forms are processed in a timely manner.
