In March 19 IssueWhat have we created and where is this country headed?
We have created a country where the government rewards companies that go broke; awards failed leaders with bonuses of millions; passes legislation without even reading it and the list goes on and on and on.
One of the concepts of government today that we fear so much is the way our government states that your company is too big to fail, but all you little companies (the ones that have worked hard to pay the taxes to give to the big boys) just go ahead and fail, we don’t care.
We now have a country that owes more than it can possibly pay back for years to come and we have a society that is saying we don’t care just hand us out more and give us more for noting.
We must admit we were totally shocked this week when we heard President Obama’s plan to pay for health care for our wounded soldiers.
Obama is calling for a plan to have soldiers private insurance companies pay for treatment of injuries they incurred while fighting for their country.
Yes, if you are wounded while defending your country, when you return home, your own insurance company will have to pay for your health care and treatment. Obama stated it was necessary to contain cost.
Many of our government al plans leave us speechless, but this one takes the award of the day.
Obama told several veteran groups this week if they did not like that plan to come up with an alternative.
We have a couple of plans. Let stop giving bonuses to people for failing. Let’s stop handing out welfare to people who are most capable of working; stop signing off on millions of pork projects and maybe we could pay for treating injuries to those defending our country.
We could stop studying the sex habit of frogs; why cow manure stinks and stop the building of a railroad to a cat house in Vegas and maybe then we could pay the health cost for some soldier who lost his leg, arm or sight while fighting for our freedom.
We cannot believe Obama would propose such a plan!
