Both the Boys and Girls RCHS Laker Tennis teams have come out of the gate firing on all cylinders as each have begun the 2009 season 3-0. The squads opened play on March 23rd at home vs Adair Co.  

The Laker Boys won all four singles matches vs the Indians on their way to a 5-2 victory while the Laker Girls team used strong doubles play to defeat the Lady Indians 4-2.  

The teams hit the road to Southwestern in Pulaski County on March 24th where each squad used stellar singles play to earn 6-3 wins.  

Both teams secured their 3rd victories of the year in a home match versus McCreary County.

The Lady Lakers cruised to a 7-1 victory  while the Laker Boys faced a stiffer challenge but prevailed 7-3.

The Lakers next match will be on Tuesday, March 31 at Mercer County which will provide the biggest test of the season thus far with both Mercer squads being two of the   top-ranked teams in the area.
