Allegations turn to indictments from grand jury
In April 2 Issue

The Russell County Grand Jury delivered true-bills for charges against 18 people its regular session March 31st.

According to Circuit Court records, the following persons were charged:

James W. Passmore, 34, was charged with 4th or greater incident of driving under the influence (DUI), driving on a suspended license, disorderly conduct, no insurance, leaving scene of an accident

Tyler Baker, 18, was charged with two counts of burglary in the 3rd degree, theft by unlawful taking under $300, as well as two counts of criminal mischief

Ronald J. Lynn, 24, was indicted on charges of theft by unlawful taking of money or property valued over $300, and with being a persistent felony offender

Wanda K. Simpson, 45, was charged with theft by unlawful taking over $300

Rebekah J. Devore, 26, was charged with flagrant non-support of a child

Roger Nathan McDonald, 30, was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card over $100, and forgery 2nd degree

Raney Dykes, 59, was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance 2nd degree, 1st offense

Barry Appleby, 22, was charged with theft by unlawful taking of a firearm

Patty Cook, 41, was charged with fraud or false statement in obtaining benefits over $100

Everett Wayne Northcutt, 18, was charged with theft by unlawful taking over $300, and unlawful transaction with a minor, 2nd degree

Christopher Gene Loy, 41, was charged with theft by deception over $300

Lori Morgan Loy, 32, was charged with theft by deception over $300, and being a persistent felony offender 2nd degree

William G. Stanton, 30, was charged with 4th offense DUI, driving on a DUI suspended license, and with being a persistent felony offender 2nd degree

Shaun A. Johnson, 30, was charged with burglary in the 2nd degree, theft by unlawful taking over $300, criminal mischief in the 3rd degree, and with being a persistent felony offender 2nd degree

Karen J. Denney, 33, was charged by indictment with burglary 1st degree, theft by unlawful taking of a firearm, theft by unlawful taking under $300, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon as well as with being a persistent felony offender 1st degree

Andre J. Brown, 59, was charged with burglary 1st degree, theft by unlawful taking of a firearm, theft by unlawful taking under $300, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Jason Green, 26, was charged with two counts of burglary in the 3rd degree, two counts of theft by unlawful taking over $300, 2nd degree arson, and with being a persistent felony offender 1st degree

Roger Dean Weston, 23, was indicted on two charges of burglary 3rd degree, two counts of theft by unlawful taking over $300, as well as arson 2nd degree.

An indictment by grand jury is not proof of guilt. An indictment is the decision by a jury that enough evidence exists in a case that a trial is warranted.
