In April 16 IssueThe Russell County Lady Laker softball team traveled to Lexington this past weekend and played in the Tates Creek Invitational Tournament on Saturday.
In the ladies first game, Coach Trent Tarter’s team lost to Bullitt Central by a score of 2-1, with the loss going to Abbie Tarter.
The Lady Lakers then blasted the host school, Tates Creek, in their second game 13-7 before losing their last game to Henry Clay 12-2.
Chelsee Hadley picked up the win for the ladies against Tates Creek while Tarter came up short on the mound against Henry Clay.
The ladies were scheduled to play the Monticello Lady Trojans on Monday but that game was canceled due to rain.
Russell County is now set to play at Clinton County on Thurs.
