Playing regional-format style, the Laker Boys and Girls Tennis teams dropped close matches to Pulaski Co. with the Laker Boys losing 3-2 and the Lady Lakers bowing out 4-1.

The Laker Boys started the day well as the #1 Doubles team of Cody Womack and Jansen Turner won 8-4 over Philip Davis and Alex Kilgore.  Kerry Kingry won his match at #1 Singles with an 8-4 win over Jonathon Harville; however, Pulaski Co won at #2 and #3 Singles and at #2 Doubles to pull out the team victory.  The Lakers are now 4-4.

Only Ines Stricker, playing at #1 Singles, won for the Lady Lakers as she posted an 8-4 victory over Katie Parks.  Katie Flanagan and Katie Dalton put up a tough battle at #1 Doubles before dropping an 8-4 decision to Charissa Burkett and Natalie Pitman.  The loss evened the Lady Lakers season record at 4-4.

Laker Coach Eric Bennett and Coach Cook of Pulaski Co. agreed to play regional-format style in order to prepare their teams for the upcoming Regional Tournaments to take place at Berea College.  The Boys Regional will be held May 8th-10th while the Girls Regional will be played May 15th -17th.
