In May 7 Issue

The middle school track team competed in the Casey County Middle School Invitational on April 27th.

The girl’s team finished 3rd overall with several individual wins. The girls’ 4X800 relay consisting of MaKenzie Back, Autumn Smith, Heather Owens and Ally Harris took the top spot finishing ahead of powerhouse teams Rockcastle and Casey County.

Breanna Hudson placed 6th in the 200 meter dash along beside Haydon. The 4X200 relay received 2nd place with the members of Haydon, Back, Harris, and Breanna Hudson.  MaKenzie placed 7th in the 1600 meter run with that.

In the national rankings there are several middle school athletes that are national ranked. Ally Harris is ranked nationally in the 400 meter dash and 800 meter run.
