In May 7 IssueAfter several days off for rain, Coach David Rexroat’s Laker baseball team returned to action on Tuesday evening in a big way, winning impressively 17-10 over the visiting Green County Dragons at Laker Field.
The Lakers were led by the bat of senior Cody Stephens who went 4-4 and batted in seven runs.
Junior Bryson McFall went 2-4 and scored three runs in the victory.
Senior Quinton Warriner went 2-2 from the plate and added 3 RBI’s and scored three runs.
Junior Zach Carney went 2-4 with 3 RBI’s and senior Cody Coffey went 2-4 with two RBI’s.
Senior Adam Black tossed two scoreless innings and moved to 6-1 on the season, lowering his ERA to 1.12.
The Laker junior varsity also defeated Dragons, 6-0, in the night’s final game.
In middle school baseball action from Tuesday, the Lakers picked up two road wins as they defeated Southern Pulaski in the 8th grade game, 9-3, and the 7th grade game, 3-1.
