In May 16 IssueRussell County NewsCDC Confirms Lexington Man’s H1N1 Virus! H1N1 Virus is the politically correct name for the Swine Flu, but is this a medical crisis or an economic one?
I, in no way want to down play the importance of taking precautions, like we should do all the time, but a much larger threat is the economic stability of Mexico.
It has been reported that the H1N1 virus is causing Mexico City to loose 777 million Pecos or $57 million dollars per day. This lost revenue combined with an economy that is already on the verge of collapse spells out a major crisis on the horizon.
We must now more that ever secure our borders and provide Mexico with the medical and financial aid necessary to deal with this outbreak.
Failing to act now will force every state that borders Mexico into almost certain bankruptcy, not to mention the medical crisis.
California is already near financial collapse and our President is threatening to withhold financial aid because of some wage cuts that were imposed on state employees.
All I am asking from anyone who reads “My Opinion” is to get involved. The direction that the current administration is trying to take us is NOT the will of the people.
I’m sure that Presidents Jefferson and Madison would spin in their graves if they could see what is happening in our great country today.
We have a young lady in California who spoke her mind on the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman and now she is being encouraged to surrender her crown as Miss California.
The Speaker of the House can’t seem to get her facts straight on whether she was briefed on interrogation methods or not?
Oh! Let’s not forget Massachusetts! They are giving free cars to their citizens on welfare. The state has a three billion dollar deficient and they are providing cars to welfare participants including, maintenance, insurance and AAA. Good Lord! And you wonder why they call it Taxachusetts?
But, being a half full type of person, we have New York City, of all places, charging their homeless families rent. Wow! What a concept.
That’s right! NYC has begun charging homeless families who are employed and staying in public shelters, rent! I can’t wait for the Obama administration to get a hold of that one! Of course
I shouldn’t criticize, the President has proposed to cut one fifth of one percent out of his proposed budget. Attorney General Holder has recommended cutting funds to families of slain police and public safety officers from $110 million to $60 million.
That’s sure going motivate our public officials to protect and serve.
I truly believe that the American people have had just about had enough, but of course that’s only “My Opinion!”
May God bless…
