Although the summer may seem to be coming to an end with the start
of school, there is still plenty of time, and several great events, taking
place at Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery! So check out the
following and make plans to be a part of our hatchery happenings!
Join us on Saturday, August 8th, 2009 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm CST
as the hatchery celebrates the birthday of one of the greatest outdoor
icons of all times – Smokey Bear! With cupcakes and free goodies,
bring your family and friends and stop in anytime from 1:00pm –
3:00pm CST for a chance to meet the birthday bear himself! You’ll
also learn more about the history of the real Smokey Bear and also
about his campaign message on forest fire prevention. There’ll be
cake and plenty of time to tour the hatchery, including the
Visitor/Environmental Education Center, so don’t miss out on all the
fun!
For those who enjoy fly fishing or have ever wanted to learn, then
Saturday, August 22nd, 2009 is the program for you! Join members
