The Russell County High product finished last season with a 9-2 record and a 1.39 earned run average while helping the Lakers to the 4th Region and 16th District titles.
“Adam is an outstanding young man with a bright future ahead of him,” Talley said.
“He had a magical season as a high school senior and we expect him to carry that type of form into his collegiate career.
“Adam comes from a terrific program and we’re excited about his addition to our program.”
Black recorded 68 strike outs in 65-1/3 innings as a senior. He allowed just 13 earned runs and 42 hits during the season.
In the region finals against Bowling Green High, Black allowed just two runs in five innings to pick up the 8-3 win.
