Laker baseball playing in fall league

In Sept. 3 Issue

Russell County Laker baseball players are participating in the Elizabethtown Players Dugout Fall League-South Division, with their games being played at Larue County High School and the Lindsey Wilson College baseball fields.

These players will play a five weekend schedule ending on September 19 with a round robin tournament at Lindsey Wilson College's baseball complex.

Thus far, after six games, the Laker team is undefeated. On Saturday, Aug. 29, the Lakers defeated Bardstown Bethlehem 9-0 and Pulaski County 10-0 in four innings.

Their next game will be on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Pulaski County playing at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. CT.

Team members are Dillon Downey, Zach Carney, Jared Coffey, Alex Selby, Hunter Best, Blake Aaron, Evan Selby, Tyler Robertson, Garret Stephens, CJ Bray and Brett Huddleston. The team is coached by Steve Best, Mark Robertson, Darrell Selby and David Aaron.
