Lady Lakers bring home region title

In Oct. 1 Issue

The Lady Laker golf team was in action in the Region 9 golf tournament at Burnside Island State Park on Monday.

The Lady Lakers took the Region 9 team champion honor after the 18 holes of play.

The Lady Lakers shot a team score of 342 beating 2nd place Pulaski County by 33 strokes.

Scoring for the Lady Lakers:

Danielle Murray--79

Jalena Barnes--83

Brianne Coe--85

Lauren Haynes--95

Kenna Richardson--96

Danielle Murray was the individual champion of the 9th region with a low score of 79.

Jalena Barnes took 2nd place individual honors in the region tournament and Brianne Coe finished tied for 4th overall.

Congratulations to these young ladies as they begin state tournament play on October 9th.
