In Oct. 10 IssueRussell County NewsThe Obama's making a great sacrifice! Our President, First Lady and Oprah made a great sacrifice last week and went to Denmark to help bring the 2016 Olympics to Chicago.
The First Lady herself said, "As much of a sacrifice that people say this is for me or Oprah or for the President to come for these few days, so many of you in this room have been working for years to bring this bid home".
Most rational thinking people wouldn't say that a three day trip to Denmark is a sacrifice! I believe most call it an all expense paid vacation. Glenn Beck pointed out that "it's going to cost approximately $1.2 million to fly Air Force One over to Copenhagen (Denmark) and it will spew over a million pounds of CO2 into the atmosphere, while at the same time he lectures us on carbon emissions.
And remember to double that, because the Obama's couldn't travel together." This helps us to better understand just who is making the sacrifice! Beck also said, "the troops that are coming home dead from Afghanistan. And, while he's (Obama) found the time to talk to everyone but the Food Network and FOX News about his Chicago White Sox, Obama has only had one meeting with his national security advisers to discuss the 66-page memo from General Stanley McChrystal from August, which says troops are urgently needed.
It has been reported that it will cost approximately 5 billion dollars to sponsor the Olympics and history has always proven that money will be lost and we the taxpayers will be the ones to cover these loses.
The big push to have the 2016 Olympics in Chicago is payback from Mr. Obama to his friends and supporters in Chicago. Needless to say, the developers involved in building the Olympic Village and stadiums will be the big winners should this plan come to pass.
Also in the news, we are now teaching our kids to sing phrases to Mr. Obama. Fortunately this was in an elementary school in New Jersey. There is also a video being shown in schools that was produced by the Tides Foundation that is clearly distorting our government's role in our communities.
The video called "The Story of Stuff" states that the government's primary role is to take care of us. It also states that we are using up our natural resources like trees, but fails to point out that those resources have been replanted and are plentiful.
The film clearly points out that big business is larger than the government and that needs to change. This video can be viewed in its entirety by going to web link www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/30951/

We need to remember that "We the People" appoint the leaders in our government and if the system that was put into place by our founding fathers is followed, the federal government will not be permitted to take over and become a socialist state or a dictatorship.
The normal folks in this great country, yea the ones clinging to their guns and bibles are speaking out! Their voices are getting louder and the message is "This is a government by the people and for the people and our elected officials serve us!"
Let's remind them as often as necessary, especially on election day!
May God bless…
