If you have some concern with the nation debt, take a look at the display of a national debt clock and your concern will flip into high gear. It is smeared with billions and trillions.
We were not totally confident we could even write the number eleven trillion. We readily understood why when we paid a visit to this website that displays the debt, shows the second by second increase and further denotes how much each taxpayer owes and how much each citizen owes.
We encourage everyone to take a look at this website and we feel certain you will have a much better understanding.
Now, we will attempt to report to you just how much this nation owes for borrowed money. We cannot give you a correct number, because by the time we type three words, the national debt has increase over 100,000 dollars. Oops, there goes another $100,000, and another.....
At this very moment the debt is reported at $11,917,640, 897,343. That is eleven trillion, 917 billion, 640 million, 897 thousand and three hundred and forty three.
Now for the more impressive part. There are some 307 million people living in the United States. This mean that every man, woman and child at this time, owes some $39,000. But considering the fact that everyone does not pay taxes, that leaves those of us that do, owing $110,000 each.
Now we know this will make you feel better, this year and last year our government handed out some $11 trillion in bailouts and handouts. We further understand you feel much better because, like most of us in Russell County, we are certain you received your share to compensate you for you portion of the debt. Oh, you didn’t receive yours?
