RCMS Lakers win 2nd straight conference championship

In Oct. 29 Issue

The Russell County Middle School Laker football team won their second straight Central Kentucky Middle School Athletic Conference championship on Saturday at Laker Stadium’s Finley Field.

The Lakers, coached by Barry Bolin, defeated Green County 28-6 to put an end to another successful middle school season.

Bolin and his staff of Chris Taylor, Greg Hammond, Chris Hammond, Jason “Bucky” Walters can be commended for another highly regarded year.

This will be the last season Greg Hammond and Chris Taylor will be coaching the middle school team, as of now.

After downing Campbellsville last Tuesday the Lakers set their sights on the Dragons

The game was tied at 6 throughout the first half. Following halftime, the Lakers came out of the locker room with the intent to win and it was clear they aimed to score every time down the field.
