In Nov. 5 IssueA high speed chase in the early morning hours of Saturday resulted in the arrest of Alvie L. Tucker, 48, of Russell Springs, according to local law enforcement.
His arrest record says Tucker was taken to the Russell County Jail on charges including DUI, driving on a suspended license, wanton endangerment, fleeing and evading police and resisting arrest as well as numerous traffic offenses.
He was released Tuesday under a $5,000 cash bond.
Deputies Jeremy England and Tim Pierce were following a Russell County Ambulance Service truck to a call in Eli less than two-hours into Saturday morning, when they reported a car nearly struck the ambulance and Pierce's cruiser on Hwy 76.
The report indicates the deputies then chased the vehicle through parts of the eastern section of the county before turning onto US-127 off Ky. 80, in Russell Springs
Reports are that at times the chase exceeded 100 miles per hour.
England reportedly forced the vehicle off the road north of town and Tucker was taken into custody after another chase, this one on foot.
