Santa came in to receive his H1N1 vaccination at a Lake Cumberland District Health Department flu clinic
This is a busy time of year for Santa and he needs to stay healthy! A total of 700 vaccinations were given during the clinic last week in Somerset.
This Thursday moms, dads and everyone else has that same chance to make sure that this season of lights isn't a season of sniffles, aches and fever.
The LCDHD is planning to hold another H1N1 clinic on Thursday, December 10.
"This is will likely be the last clinic of the year and our plans are to open this to the general public, including those outside the priority groups," said a health department spokesman. "We have received a significant amount of vaccine and would like to get it out to as many people as possible before the holidays."
They report that this clinic will offer both flu mist and injectable forms of the vaccine and stressed that vaccine will be available on a walk-in basis to anyone who wants to receive it.
There is no charge for the H1N1 vaccination through the health department.
