On Wednesday, Dec. 30 the Laker Swim Team traveled to Fort Knox to  participate in the Fort Knox Invitational Meet.

Seven schools competed in the meet with the Lakers taking first place overall.  

“The Fort Knox Invitational was a good meet for us,” said Laker swim coach Lauren Wade.

“There were several excellent teams there, and I’m very proud of the swimmers for their hard work and determination at this meet and throughout the season.”

The team will host a home meet against Danville and Boyle County on Thursday, Jan. 7 and travel to an Invitational in Somerset on Saturday, Jan. 10.  

Wade encourages everyone to come out to the natatorium and support the team.
