The day before at about 2 p.m. a Columbia man, Billy Joe Turner was flow from the scene of a wreck on US-127 after he'd been thrown from the van he was driving.
The collision Monday occurred when the right front wheel of Turner's 98 Dodge Caravan went off the shoulder of the road and Turner overcorrected causing the vehicle to roll and toss Turner into the ditch, reported Deputy Sheriff Nick Bertram.
Tuesday, Bertram said the wreck occurred when LaFavers' Chevy Tracker met a Ford Ranger driven by Sarah Fletcher, 18, also of Russell County.
He said the two vehicles met head-on with the left front tires of each vehicle hitting squarely.
