The Outsiders Car Club kicked off the 2010 year with a Valentine Celebration for the club. The evening started out with a wonderful dinner served at the Meeting Place in Jamestown. The menu consisted of a Fillet steak with shrimp, baked potato and all the trimmings.

Owner George Alford and crew at the Meeting Place did a fantastic job on the food and decorations. The atmosphere was set for couples also. The room was dark with candle light on each table, with table cloths and romantic music playing in the background. If you missed it you missed the nicest event in town for Valentine's Day.

After enjoying a wonderful meal at Meeting Place and letting dinner settle, the group went to the Jamestown Family Fun Center for a night of dancing, karaoke and desert. An assortment of cakes and deserts were placed on the tables when guests arrived for the dance and karaoke. The hall was also decorated for the event.

Renee Dix, manager of the Jamestown Center did a wonderful job of setting things up. It turned out to be a very nice night for the club and the first official outing of the new year. In attendance from the Outsiders Car Club were, Mike & Phyllis Taylor, Mike & Dwayne Esau, Ronnie and Judy Wilson, Ron and Fill Cowell, Neil and Maralee Patton and Suzzanne Conover.

To catch you up to date with The "Outsiders Club, election of officers took place last September. The new President of the club is Ron Cowell, Vice President, Neil Patton, Secretary, Judy Wilson and Treasurer, Mike Taylor make up the officers of the club.

If you would like information on the club or about membership feel free to contact any of the officers or any of the club members. The Meeting's are held the first Monday of every month at 6:00 pm in the private room at The Porch across from Kroger in Russell Springs.

They are planning their Cruise In's for the up coming year. You might want to get your Calendar out and mark these dates down for the "OUTSIDERS" 2010 Cruise In's. They will be held the same as last year, the first Friday of each month from May through September.

The dates are, May 7th, June 4th, July 2nd, Aug. 6th, and Sept. 3rd. Once again they will take place at the Sonic Drive In in Russell Springs at 6:00PM. Brandy, manager of Sonic and the Outsiders are looking forward to another good year and hope the Cruise Ins grow even more than last year. Music will once again be provided by Ron's Rockin Oldies.

In the weeks to come we will be filling you in on the upcoming events of The Ol Boys Toys Car Club and Another Level Car Club and all others that get their information in to me.

If your group or club is having an event and you would like to have some of the Classic Cars there for display any of the local clubs would be glad to bring their cars out to show, (weather permitting).
