The Russell County Grand Jury returned indictments against four people this week.
• Paula Stearns, 27, was charged with three counts of second degree burglary, two counts of theft of a controlled substance, and one count of theft by unlawful taking of more than $500 as well as theft of a legend drug.
• Jeffrey L. Franklin, 42, was charged with second degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and with being a persistent felony offender, 1st degree.
• Joshua Reeder, 29, was charged with three counts of fraud or false statement in obtaining benefits of more than $100.
• Bobby Bray, 38, was charged with flagrant non-support of a child.
An indictment by a grand jury does not imply guilt but simply means that a jury felt there was enough evidence in a case to warrant a trial.
