Lady Laker softball downs Casey County on the road

In May 13 Issue

Following a couple of tough outings for Coach Trent Tarter’s Lady Laker softball team, the ladies picked up two huge wins on Tuesday night on the road at Casey County, 5-0 and 12-1.

The wins Tuesday propels the Lady Lakers to 8-19 on the season at the varsity level.

Late last week Russell County fell on the road at Somerset 8-0 and on Monday at Lady Laker Field to Boyle County 13-7.

The Lady Laker junior varsity squad picked up a huge win over Somerset last Friday, scoring a 11-4 win over the Jumpers but fell earlier this week to Boyle County, 12-1.

The Lady Lakers have a 3-3 district record and will travel to Barren County on Thursday before hosting Campbellsville on Friday for Senior Night.

Three Lady Laker seniors, Lacey Holt, Jenna Burris and Kyla Thomas, will be honored before the varsity game at 5 p.m. at Lady Laker Field in Russell Springs.

Russell County will play in the 16th district tourney May 24-29.
