With Father’s Day right around the corner, Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery (NFH) reminds you to consider a trip outdoors, connected to nature, to enjoy the day and spend time with the one(s) you love most. Why not pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic, benefit from the serenity of a hike in the greenery of the woods, go boating on a cool, clear river or stream or grab your pole, license and head out to fish?

And speaking of fish…  If fishing is what you are looking for, be sure and consider one of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s 14 national fish hatcheries across the Southeast Region. Whether it’s jumping trout or a nice size bass, our hatcheries offer great fishing opportunities for visitors of all ages! Yet it’s not just fishing you’ll find at our hatcheries as each offers e a unique bevy of other fun, engaging outdoor opportunities, ranging from bird watching to fishing areas to picnicking. Yes, there’s sure to be something for everyone to enjoy!
