In May 20 IssueLady Laker softball senior standout Lacey Holt has signed a letter of intent to play at Midway College next season.
Holt, Russell County’s longtime varsity catcher, said she had worked hard all five years of her high school softball career to get to this point.
“I’m definitely excited to be a Lady Eagle now,” Holt said. “From the time I was young I had always hoped to play college ball and now that has been able to come true.”
She credited Coaches Trent Tarter, Ron McBeath and Jerry Guffey with helping her develop her softball skills enough to compete at the next level.
“They have strived to make us better people as well as athletes and am very thankful I had them as coaches during my high school career,” Holt said of her Russell County coaches.
