In May 27 IssueFormer Laker baseball coach Terry Wade was honored last week by the Russell County baseball program.
Wade, who was head coach from 1977 to 1997, recorded 439 wins and 211 losses.
He won 13 district championships, five regional titles and had five state tournament appearances.
In 1999, the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association honored Wade as he was elected into the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame.
Wade was joined on the field bu his wife, Beckie, sons Cary Wade and Darren Wade, daughter Terry Pettyjohn as well as his mother and father, Elaine and E.K. Wade, his mother-in-law Carril Selby, his granddaughters Chandler and Makenna Wade as well as other members of his family, former coaches and former players.
